A consumer data license is a legally binding contract between a person and a business which defines the paramaners around the use of their data, including what data is collected, how it can be used, how long it can be used, and what compensation, if any, the user will receive in return.
A similar concept: A songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee writes a hit song for the radio. She signs a licensing agreement that defines who can play the song, how and where it can be played, and what royalties the artist receives whenever the song is played.
Take the same concept and apply it to data. You’ve got yourself a consumer data license.
Boy, howdy!
